No Christmas tree
No Christmas lights
December never gets that cold
The television's on
But no one's home

Flourescent lights
For moonlit nights
Feels like you're at heaven's gate
The ticking of a clock
Keeps me awake

I took a trip to the Midwest
And my life was never the same
And when you see Chicago's light at night
From a plane
It lets you know you're small
And the God Who made us all is great

I'd wish you luck
But it's not enough
You've got to learn along the way
It's time to face your fears
Or fade away

Another week
With no heartbeat
It made me feel like giving in
If you don't give your all
You'll never...
